There is an anonymous 24 year old ex computer engineer blogger living in Baghdad, who writes under the pseudonym Riverbend at http://riverbendblog.blogspot.com/. She started he diary on August 17, 2003 and it is about to be published in the US on April 15. But we can read it on the web for free. I have been following her writing for two years and find her descriptions of family life, even under occupation, very authentic. We can start with the archives on the left of the page and note that they are arranged in reverse chronological order with the earlier postings lower down the page. In the UK her collection has been nominated for the BBC’s Samuel Johnson Prize. Please have a look and let me know what you think.
