South Street Businesses Fire Fund
JP Centre/South Main Streets has set up a fund for the 5 businesses affected by the fire on South Street. To make a donation, make out your check and send it to the “South Street Businesses Fire Fund”, c/o JP Centre/South Main Streets, P.O. Box 302712, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. We are also working with other city agencies and neighborhood organizations to provide support for the business owners. Information: info@jpcentresouth.org.
Boston Shines - Come out on Saturday and help clean up our neighborhood business district!
JP Centre/South is gearing up for Boston Shines this Saturday April 29th, from 8:45 am to 12 noon. We will be gathering in front of the JP CSMS office at 39 South Street (across from Curtis Hall and the JP Library) to divide up to clean 2 to 3 areas along Centre and South Streets. First Thursdays - Art, Music and Dance along Centre and South Streets
First Thursdays will return on May 4th from 6 to 8 pm with art openings and receptions along Centre and South Streets, as well as musical and dance performances showcasing the talents of Spontaneous Celebrations’ artists. Blanchard’s Grand Wine Tasting Event and Storefront Improvement Celebration

Victorian Street Fair, May 14
Stop by the Loring Greenough House at 12 South Street between 11:30 am and 5 pm for Mothers’ Day Tea & Pastries (to benefit Loring Greenough House), music, picnic lunch, theatrical performances, “Victorian” portrait photographer, Historical Society walking tours, craft demonstrations.
