The Pinebank Promontory: 2nd Public Planning Meeting, Wednesday, July 26 – 6:00-8:00 PM

The Pinebank Promontory:  2nd Public Planning Meeting
Hosted by the Emerald Necklace Conservancy

The site of the historic Pinebank mansion, the promontory overlooking Jamaica Pond is a unique and seldom-visited feature of Jamaica Park. The Emerald Necklace Conservancy, in cooperation with Boston Parks Department, is hosting three special meetings to solicit the public’s suggestions for how the Pinebank site in Jamaica Park might be used and how the Pinebank mansion should be remembered (in anticipation of the demolition of the structure).

The agenda of this second meeting will include:
-    a summary of ideas from the first meeting about how to memorialize the historic house;
-    brainstorming ideas for uses and activities that people would like to see planned for the site.

Follow-up meetings are scheduled for
Wednesday, August 2nd. Summarizing public suggestions for future uses of the site. Hosted by the Emerald Necklace Conservancy
Thursday, September 14th. Public presentation of design alternatives. Hosted by Boston Parks.

Wednesday, July 26  –  6:00-8:00 PM at the Arnold Arboretum, Hunnewell Building
At Arborway Entrance
