New Citizen Alert in A-1 Downtown Boston, Massachusetts

STOLEN DESIGNER SUNGLASSES
A-1 Downtown Boston, Massachusetts: On September 30th, in the afternoon, two males robbed an eyeglass store located in Downtown, Boston. The suspects took 17 pairs of Cartier eyeglasses (average retail value - $1,000.00 each). Suspect #1 gestured that he had a handgun. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 5′6″ in height, 150 lbs., thin build, brown hair, and brown eyes, wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt. Suspect #2 is described as a white hispanic male, 5′9″ in height, 185 lbs., medium build, brown hair, and brown eyes, wearing large sunglasses, navy blue jacket, and black baseball cap. Suspect #2 acted like he was chasing suspect #1 from the store after the robbery and both fled on foot towards Post Office Square. It appeared to be a ruse.
On October 1st, in the afternoon, two hispanic males robbed an eyeglass store located on Newbury Street, Boston. The suspects took Cartier, Prada, and Cavalli sunglasses (total value - $10,000). Both suspects fled on foot from the scene.
On October 5th, suspect #1 (from the 1st robbery 9/30) was arrested.
Retailers should monitor their stores for suspicious activity and call 9-1-1 if they believe that they are about to be robbed. Any further information regarding the robberies should be reported to the BPD District A-1 Detectives at #1-617-343-4248. If you receive information regarding the selling of designer suglasses at ie. pubs, restaurants, playgrounds, social clubs, etc.
