New Citizen Alert in E-18 Hyde Park, Massachusetts

PATTEN STREET ONE-WAY
E-18 Hyde Park, Massachusetts: In cooperation with local residents and the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services, The Boston Transportation Department is making Patten Street, Jamaica Plain, one way from Wachusetts Street to Rodman Street. The change is being made to enhance traffic and pedestrian safety.
The one-way change is expected to reduce cut-through traffic and put it back on the main thoroughfares, which are designed to handle large numbers of vehicles.

New Citizen Alert in C-11 Dorchester, Massachusetts

Recent Commercial Robbery in Dorchester & throughout the City
C-11 Dorchester, Massachusetts: 10/19/2006 08:45 PM, Robbery Type, Commercial
761 ADAMS ST, Business Name, Adams Village Shell, District C-11: Firearm, Demanded Money
Black male (age 25, dark hat, camouflage bandana covering face) demanded money from the register at gunpoint (black handgun). Suspect then demanded
money from lottery drawer, and ordered victim down onto the ground. The suspect then fled the scene.
There have been similar instances of commercial armed robberies throughout the city. In two occurrences, a silver colored sedan, possibly a Pontiac was used.
The Boston Police Department requests all citizens to remain vigilant and report any unusual circumstances immediately by calling 911.

New Citizen Alert in Hyde Park, Massachusetts

Commercial Robberies
Hyde Park, Massachusetts: There were two commercial robberies which took place on District 18 on 10-18-06. The description and actions of the robber were the same leading officers to believe that both were committed by the same person. The River Street Market at 991 River St and Diana Market at 1070 Hyde Park Ave were robbed by a light Skin Hispanic male who displayed a black handgun. After robbing Diana Market he fled down Arlington St on a red mountain bike. Officers of District 18 later arrested the suspect a distance away infront of 599 American Legion Hwy

C-6 South Boston, Massachusetts: On 9/26/06 Thompson Financial 47 Farnsworth St South Boston was broken into and the suspect stole several laptop computers and electronic devises.

New Citizen Alert in B-2 Roxbury, Massachusetts

MISSION HILL BREAKING AND ENTERING SUSPECT
B-2 Roxbury, Massachusetts: Be on the look out for a Black, Non-Hispanic male in his mid to late twenties with a medium build and glasses. This suspect wore a hooded sweat shirt with red sleeves, light blue jeans and tan timberland boots. Witnesses reported seeing suspect sitting on the front porch of the apartment that was broken into on 10/16/06 between the hours of 9:50am and 12:45pm.

Please help deter thieves by keeping windows and doors closed and locked when no one is home. Also, get to know your neighbors and report suspicious persons and/or activities by calling 911.
