This year’s Neighbors for Neighbors Holiday drive was our most successful ever!
Thanks to your support we raised $1,400 to buy books, toys, puzzles, arts and crafts supplies for Horizons for Homeless Children. We send a special thank you to all of the stores/business who participated in the Holiday drive. Without their help none of this would have been possible.
Thank you:
Blanchards, Sweet Finnish, Boing, Veloria, Zestos, Petal and Leaf, Cuba de Oriental, Sweet Christopher’s, Milky Way, City Feed, Ula Café, Food Wall, Video Underground, Centre St. Liquors, Brendan Behan Pub, and Fat Rams!

On the week of April 21 to 25, our younger neighbors have April Vacation. For many of them, this is a scary time. Neighbors for Neighbors has set a goal of raising $1000.00 to help fund programs and provide 20 volunteers to help staff, run, and support activities.

On Saturday night, Cailin O’Toole lost her 22 year old son, Michael Lutz, to a car accident. Cailin has been involved in the Egleston Square Peace Garden, peace vigils, Wake Up the Earth Festival, the Lantern Parade, and Taste of Jamaica Plain. Friends of the family are gathering donations towards burial costs, and Cityfeed (map) has offered to handle donation dropoffs - please make checks out to Cailin O’Toole. If you can, please help support someone who has devoted herself to the JP community by helping non-profits and youth programs, and brought her enthusiasm, artistic creativity, faith and spirit into JP for more than a decade.
